Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of The Okinawan Karate Dojo, Catonsville location

Established in 1998, African-American-owned - Okinawan Karate Dojo - will be opening its second location in Catonsville in August 2023.

The Owner, Sensei Stanley Crump (7th-degree black belt) is a repeat Heavyweight World Champion in Kumite and has been featured in various media including Sports Illustrated, Men's Health, ESPN's SportsCenter, and the Real Housewives of Potomac. Sensei Crump has worked individually with a broad swath of the community, from preschoolers to NASCAR drivers!

He leads his dojo families each year to serve/support local members of the military, the fire department, EMS, Toys for Tots, and the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center.
